The ATC Pilot represents an extraordinary evolution in the assisted braking system sector. Black Diamond aims to create a new geometry and has developed a simple, ergonomic, and functional gem, designed to follow the natural movements of the belayer.
Its use is extremely intuitive and it operates like a conventional tube-style belay device. But simply tilting it will brake a falling partner.
It accepts ropes from 8.7 to 10.5 mm in diameter and features a steel braking surface to guarantee resistance and durability over time.
