The tool's head is completely interchangeable and can be fitted with various Vario system picks, for great versatility . Thanks to its deeply curved aluminum shaft with a carbon shell, the Dark Machine ice tool guarantees excellent strength despite its low weight: it is one of the lightest T-standard ice tools on the market. The tool is very well balanced, with a fairly forward center of gravity for good swing. The thin-diameter carbon handle is particularly light and comfortable to hold. The 49 cm long Dark Machine ice tool is compatible with Grivel's Ice Vario, Total Ice Vario, and Total Dry Vario picks.
